Shahid Kapoor starrer Deva currently has multiple climaxes; real ending under wraps- Report

In the upcoming film Deva, set to release on January 31, 2025, Shahid Kapoor takes on the role of a rebellious cop, while Pooja Hegde portrays a journalist. The film, directed by acclaimed Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews and produced by Roy Kapur Films, also features Kubbra Sait and Pavail Gulati in significant roles.

Shahid Kapoor shot multiple climax scenes for Deva

Ahead of its release, it has been reported that multiple climax scenes were filmed to maintain suspense. A source quoted by Pinkvilla revealed, “Since Deva is a thriller about a murder that has taken place, it’s crucial to avoid leaks. To keep the curiosity intact, Rosshan, Shahid, and key stakeholders of Deva came up with the idea of shooting for three different climaxes, have three different versions on who is the killer. The actual one making it to the final cut is known to only the ones in the top tier of filmmaking.”

“Very few know what’s the reality, and which version makes it to the cinema halls on January 31. This secrecy ensures an added layer of suspense not just for audiences but for the team as well,” the source added.

Deva trailer insights

The trailer opens with an empty scene, accompanied by Shahid discussing a deadly mission. It quickly transitions to Shahid as an intense cop, engaging in action-packed sequences where he confronts criminals. This action drama promises a blend of high-octane action, emotional depth, and thrilling chases, setting the stage for an exciting theatrical experience.

Shahid’s upcoming projects

In addition to Deva, Shahid Kapoor is set to appear in an untitled project directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, which is described as a gangster drama. The film, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, will also star Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, and Randeep Hooda, and is scheduled for release on December 5, 2025.
